Riding Summer’s Doldrums

It’s that time of year. Summer’s doldrums are upon us.  We are finished with Royal Ascot, the clamor of Pitti Uomo in Florence has receded, and the Fourth of July a mere hangover.

Our Italian workshop is closed for the holidays with the lads thrown to the winds of the Med.  A favorite beach on Ponza, house parties on Hydra, or a quiet place in the Dolomites to catch up on a good read.

We have been a bit busier at our HQ stateside and swatch after swatch has come under our critical eye as we ready the next batch of shirting goodness for the Autumn.  We have taken our obsessiveness to other goods and a travel jacket and pant are in the works, both well suited for a stroll through Montmarte or the 2:00 to Dangriga.

Ideas take shape

Down time has found us exploring the cooler climes of the Blue Ridge on mountain roads seemingly built by the motorcycle Gods and hitting Bahamian waters in search of Bones.

We aren’t sure what the heat of August will hold for us, a last minute trip to Coral Beach before the children are back in school, a trip out to Jackson to visit old friends, or working along side the Italian lads at the workshop.  No matter what, our latest batch of lovely shirts won’t be far from our mind and inspiration will be everywhere as always……
